Talking to others about our mental health

Whether talking to professionals or family & friends, it can be hard to find a good way to express your feelings.  We hope the following articles provide you with some ideas, hints & tips to help you feel more confident in having these conversations.

What services are out there - having an idea about what you want or need from a conversation can help decide who might be best placed to offer that support to you.

How can I contact them - phone, messages, online - Where would you feel most comfortable?

Be open and honest and let the other person know what you need and don’t need from the conversation. If something is helpful – tell them! If its unhelpful – let them know why. Take control.
